The Township of Perth South, The Perth Public Health Laboratory, and Perth district Health Unit offer free bacterial water testing to all Perth County residents using a private well. Water quality can fluctuate as land-use changes throughout the watershed, therefore you should test your well water at least three times per year. We recommend testing your water in spring, summer, and fall as the seasons (and watersheds) are changing.

Any resident who wants their water tested for fluoride, nitrites, or nitrates can get testing done, for a fee, through a Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change Licensed Lab. Call the lab you are interested in using to determine their fees and testing process before sending them a water sample.
